DAY 1: Nairobi – Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary
Welcome! Karibu Kenya! Early in the morning (7:30 am) meet and greet by our Leaberty Travel representative who will brief you on the safari before departing to Sweetwater’s passing through the coffee, pineapple and tea plantations of central Kenya arriving in time for lunch the Sweetwater’s Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a beautiful private game reserve offers spectacular views of Mount Kenya and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and hippo. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. DAY 2: Sweetwaters- Samburu Game reserve
After breakfast depart for Samburu crossing the thorny landscape of Samburu County. Samburu national park is known for the presence of unique species such as Gravy’s Zebra, the long-necked Gerenuk, among the wildlife that shares this semi-arid habitat .Arrive in Samburu time for lunch, after lunch proceed for afternoon game drive in search of wildlife such as reticulated Giraffe, Gravy’s zebra,Beisa Oryx and the blue necked Somalia ostrich. Arriving in time for Lunch at a lodge followed by afternoon game drives. Dinner and Overnight at Samburu Ashnil Luxury Lodge or Similar (Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast) /Similar
DAY 3: Full Day at Samburu Game reserve
On this day, after breakfast you will spend Full day option in Samburu National park or early morning and afternoon game drives in park, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Ashnil Luxury Lodge or Similar (Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast) or similar.
DAY 4: Samburu -Lake Nakuru National park
Breakfast then depart the lodge for Lake Nakuru National park arriving in good time for lunch at sarova lion hill lodge or similar. Afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here. Dinner and overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Similar (Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast) or similar.
DAY 5: Lake Nakuru National park – Maasai Mara.
Driving across the Great Rift Valley to Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch an evening game viewing will follow in search of black-manned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar. (Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast) or Similar.
DAY 6: Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the park. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar. DAY 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Breakfast at the lodge, then check out to start the journey back to Nairobi. You will arrive in the afternoon, and we will drop you off at your hotel in Nairobi or at airport for your flight back home. We highly recommend extending your stay with a few nights to Tanzania or Uganda or on the beautiful beaches of Mombasa, or island of Zanzibar, & Seychelles.
